What you’re about to read is a real patient experience. We believe this story of Elizabeth and her Aunt Randi will show you how much your gifts and support really mean to HEI.

Hi!  I’m not sure who will receive this email but I’m truly compelled to share my feelings.  My niece has had progressive hearing loss for the last couple of years.  I have watched her parents go from Dr. to Dr. searching for answers and solutions to only hear “we don’t know” and “it is what it is”.  It has been a long discouraging road. After a routine checkup with her current audiologist she had significant hearing loss.

So after weeks of tests and fearing complete loss of her hearing they left her with no answers and no hope.

Randi & Elizabeth,
“two peas in a pod” according to Elizabeth’s mother Misty

You could imagine how frustrating and scary that has been for all of us, especially her.  That’s a lot for a 14 year old!  Naturally my sister set out to seek a second opinion and she took Elizabeth in to see Dr. Kopke.  After talking to her and hearing how the appointment went I cried tears of joy.  The hope, support, and encouragement that he gave us all today were answered prayers!  Truly answered prayers!  I just want him to know that he and his nurses have had an amazing impact on my family today and we are so beyond thankful for that!!!! Keep up the great work! –Randi Lewis

Elizabeth is a champion wrestler with her sights set on someday competing in the Olympics!

We are SO excited about Elizabeth’s journey and what HEI’s research could mean for both Elizabeth and her loved ones. Thank you for your continued support – you are the reason we are able to serve families like Elizabeth’s and restore relationships.

We believe there is no price tag you can put on the renewed hope of a family!

We hope to continue to share more of Elizabeth’s exciting future with you as we get to know this lovely family!

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell
and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell
to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside
and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell
