HoughAid - Free Hearing Aid Program for Low-income Adults
HoughAid provides refurbished hearing aids to qualifying adults over the age of 19 or older. The program provides digital hearing aids and full audiology services for qualified Oklahomans with annual household incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level ($29,160 annually for 1 person per household or $39,400 for 2 per household.)
If you are interested, please complete the application and submit the required documents. If you are approved, a participating audiologist close to your area will be in touch with you soon. The type of aid you receive will be personalized based on your hearing test results and the discussion between you and the audiologist.
How to Apply
Download the application and/or email your completed application with proof of your household income. Proof of income can be a Federal income tax form, a bank statement showing deposits, or a Social Security award letter. You must also complete the participant agreement form and return it with the completed application.
Eligibility
To qualify for the program, you must meet the following criteria and be recommended for further enrollment by an audiologist:
At least 19 years of age;
A resident of the state of Oklahoma;
On a limited income (below the 200% Federal Poverty Level);
Have a specific degree of hearing loss (determined by an audiogram).
